Visit the Valleyview Minor Hockey website on the Registration Page and use the link.

What is the payment deadline?

Payment deadline is September 16th 2024 no exceptions.

What are the fees for minor hockey?

What days are practice?

The days you will practice will be determined when we have the registration closed and coach availability. You will be notified via Facebook and website with schedule.

When do practices start?

Practices will start the week of September 16th 2024.

Where do I get my respect in sport certificate?

Google Respect In Sport Hockey Alberta choose Respect in Sport - Parent and follow through. There is a payment required, this certificate is valid for 3 years.

How do I know if my Respect in Sport Parent is valid?

When you log into your respect in sport portal it will provide you with your certificate.

What is the process for Respect In Sport Parent?

Prepare a username and password - DO NOT MAKE MULTIPLE
Pay for the course
Complete the course and email to leah4876@gmail.com
Link your chid to the certificate or it will not be valid

The linking of children is the most important portion, if it is not linked it does not show on your child's profile therefor not valid

What if I want to help my child on the ice?

If you want to help your child on the ice you MUST complete the Respect in Sport Activity Leader/Coach/Officials
Follow the same process as Respect in Sport - Parent

Can I help my child on the ice?

You may help your child for the first 2 weeks of practice with your Respect in Sport Parent and Respect in Sport Activity Leader. Outside of the 2 week timeframe it is up to the coach.

What is the process if I want to help coach?

The application is under forms of the Valleyview Minor Hockey Website and must be submitted to the president at cauchiej@gmail.com. Once they are all received an evaluation of qualifications will be evaluated with the Valleyview Minor Hockey Board the Head Coach will be named and it is up to that coach to assign their assistants. Deadline for coaching applications will be September 1st 2024. A Criminal Record Check is also a requirement.

What is the expectation as a parent

Every team will have a manager which can be a shared position and requires a trainer for the teams. For every 10 players a trainer is required. Be involved with your team in a positive and encouraging manner. If we don't have these volunteers your team will not be able to roster therefore not play any games.

What if my child doesn't want to play

If your child had decided it is not for them a full refund is available until December 31 of the registration year minus the insurance fees and the amount of practice days that were available.
